Cop without a Badge

This book is about former FBI and Secret Service agent Kevin Maher's dangerous career in which he solved homicides, targeted the mafia, and fought in the drug war. At least that is what the book claims. But people close to him rubbish that claim. You should read the reviews at Amazon.com from readers who have read the book and claim that the whole thing is just a fabrication.

yellow ribbon

What's that yellow ribbon doing on Google's site. Well, according to Wikipedia, a yellow ribbon can denote various things, but is mostly associated with those waiting for the return of a loved one or of military troops who are temporarily unable to come home. Sometimes it is also used to indicate a fourth-place finish in a contest in county and state fairs in the United States. Of late, it has been used to symbolize support for the International Suicide Prevention Program. It has also been used recently to raise awareness of Testicular Cancer, Endometriosis, and Madeleine McCann.

Isaiah 40 31

But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

Isn't this an encouraging piece of news. Especially for today. Those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength. The word 'wait' here denotes trusting in the Lord. Another way to think of it is like a waiter waiting upon the guest to do his bidding. When we wait on the Lord to carry out His command, we shall renew our strength, and run but not be weary.
